Pool Deck Basics
What Is Spray Deck?
Spray deck is a textured cement-based coating system applied over a prepared concrete surface. It is commonly used around swimming pools, patios, walkways, and other outdoor concrete areas to create a finished decorative texture.
Base Coat
The concrete surface is prepared and a base or bond coat is applied. This helps the following deck materials bond securely to the existing concrete.
Spray Deck Texture
The cement-based texture material is applied over the prepared surface. It can be sprayed through a hopper gun and finished with a knockdown texture or another decorative technique.
Top Coat & Color
After the texture has dried, a colored top coat or protective coating is applied to create the finished appearance and help protect the deck surface.

Southwest Seal
