FGR 95

Overview
Hydrocal® FGR 95 is a fast-setting gypsum cement designed for strong, resilient glass-reinforced product fabrication. Superior fire retardant properties allow for code-compliant installations in a variety of public and private structures. Allows for the economical duplication of architectural details formerly produced from plaster, wood, concrete or stone.
Main FeaturesHydrocal® FGR 95 is a high-strength gypsum cements specially formulated for use with glass fiber for fabricating glass-reinforced architectural details. This product is an alpha hemihydrate gypsum-based materials, with low water requirements that result in high-strength, high-density pieces.
Hydrocal® FGR 95:
Accepts most coatings and finishes.
Produces lightweight, thin-cast, fire-resistant architectural details
Superior fabrication flexibility – from simple cornices to ornate capitals and medallions
Effectively duplicates pieces formerly made of plaster, wood, concrete and stone
Overcomes building fire code incompatibilities faced by many plastics – at roughly one-third the cost of filled polyesters
Exceptionally quick set – 50-70 minutes with manual application
Hydro-Stone

Exceptionally strong gypsum cement designed for stretch-press dies and producing cope-and-drag equipment.* Produces high-quality, indoor novelty and statuary castings that require extremely hard surfaces and superior reproduction of fine detail. Superior expansion vs. Hydrocal® A-11 or B-11 gypsum cements.
*High water absorption resistance.
Main FeaturesHydro-Stone® Gypsum Cement is especially suitable where high strength and resistance to water absorption are necessary. It is ideal for applications in both the tooling & prototyping and art & statuary categories.
Hydro-Stone® Gypsum Cement — For Tooling & Prototyping
Hydro-Stone® Gypsum Cement is ideal for stretch-press dies where extreme surface hardness is required. Offering greater expansion than Hydrocal® A-11 or B-11 gypsum cements, Hydro-Stone® Gypsum Cement:
- Features a heavy, syrupy consistency, ideal for pouring into solid models or patterns (and making it ideal for filling multiple molds simultaneously)
- Adapts to most flexible moulding compounds, due to its high absorption resistance
- Sets in 17-20 minutes, after machine mixing
- Requires 32 parts water by weight per 100 parts plaster.
NOTE — For best storage results, keep indoors in a dry, stable environment, away from drafts. Do not stack more than two pallets high.
Hydro-Stone® Gypsum Cement — For Art & Statuary
One of the hardest and strongest Hydrocal® products, Hydro-Stone® Gypsum Cement is used in the fabrication of high-quality art novelty and statuary castings. Offering excellent paintability, Hydro-Stone® Gypsum Cement:
Provides fast set time for quick mold turns
Can duplicate extremely fine details
Works well in plaster and most flexible moulding compounds
Is self-leveling, with low viscosity
Casting Plaster (20 Min)

Sets the industry standard for a lightweight, economical, bright white plaster. Ideal for hollow and solid casting applications to create figurines, moldings and plaques.
Main FeaturesNo. 1 Casting Plaster is the industry’s premier casting plaster for fabricating figurines, plaques and lamp bases. Similar to White Art Plaster, but with slightly higher chip-resistance and reduced paint absorption,No. 1 Casting Plaster
- Is stark white in color; smooth-working
- Features proprietary additives that minimize paint absorption
- Offers a hard-working surface
- Is available in 20 and 30 minute set times
- Requires 65 parts water by weight per 100 parts plaster.
NOTE — For best storage results, keep indoors in a dry, stable environment. Do not stack more than two pallets high.
Ultracal 30

Superior tooling gypsum cement features exceptional strength and hardness. Low-absorption, designed for use in case molds.
Main Features
Ultracal® 30 Gypsum Cementis a traditional tooling gypsum cement, specially formulated for close tolerance tooling. Low absorption Ultracal® 30 Gypsum Cement:
- Is recommended where extreme accuracy and surface hardness are required (i.e. duplicator molds)
- Provides the lowest expansion of any rapid-setting gypsum cement
- Is ideal for splash-casting molds and models for phenolic, polyester and epoxy resins
- Sets 25-35 minutes after machine mixing
- Requires 38 parts water by weight per 100 parts plaster
NOTE – For best storage results, keep indoors in a dry, stable environment, away from drafts. Do not stack more than two pallets high.
